1. HISTORY OF Asuma Sarutobi : Who is he ? and when was he born ?
Asuma Sarutobi (猿飛アスマ, Sarutobi Asuma) was born in October 18. He came from Konohagakure’s Sarutobi clan from father Hiruzen (third hokage) and Biwako Sarutobi. Asuma Sarutobi is one of former 12 Guardian Ninjas and he was leader and mentor of Team 10 which compose Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka and Chōji Akimichi.
Asuma often play Shogi with shikamaru Nara. Asuma before he died married Kurenai and gave her pregnant. Asuma is laid back and a heavy smoker. However, in certain situation, for instance during his father funeral and Kurenai pregnant, he stopped his smoking.
Asuma has strong bond with all his three apprentices. He often take his student to Yakiniku Q and treat them lunch or Dinner. Of course, it is not rare; he has apologized because he brought not enough money to pay Choji Bills. Asuma knows how to release his student’s true talent. He bribe Choji with lots of food and make Shikamaru use his brain by inviting him playing Shogi. Asuma never win Shogi with Akamaru. From this game, Asuma knows that the lazy Shikamaru is a very genius individual, perhaps the smartest, with IQ beyond 200. Asuma fell in love to his fellos Jonin Kureni Yuhi since he was a kid. One time, Kakashi captured both of them eating in one place, that Asuma quickly responded by talking different topic. Asuma never have a change to married Kurenai, before he legalized his relationship, Asuma died in battle after he fought fiercely with Hidan and Kakuzu.
2. What is the special power or abilities of Asuma Sarutobi ?
Asuma has ability to modify, combine or advantage Fire and wind nature power. Asuma is a tall man with a beard and he is proud with twelve-guardian ninja sash (written "Fire" (火) )he wraps around his waist.
About his Abilities, Asuma knows how to use Ninjutsu, Bukijutsu, and Taijutsu. He was able to kill nine chunin level ninja from Otagakure easily during Konoha invasion. For this achievement, he was rewarded with bounty worth 35.000.000 ryo. He is respected by enemies and friend. Shikaku Nara once praised Asuma as one of the strongest shinobi from Konoha.
Asuma also knows how to use Chiriku's technique ( he used it in the battle with Hidan Aktsuki), Ultimate technique of the Fire Temple, he was able to call the spirit of the Thousand-Armed Kannon, Nature transformation technique combining Fire and wind release and finally yet importantly, He was able to exploit true power of his blade. He was good at close-ranged melee fighting. With his unique trench knives Asuma had killed many enemies and the knives had saved his lives many time too.
Asuma can release his chakra through his blade and with his chakra as well, he can extended the sharp edge of his blade invisibly. With his knives and chakra control, his blade can pierce not only the flesh of the enemy. He can cut big trees with it, crushing rock, and even cutting strong iron.
3. What is Asuma Mission in Naruto Manga/Naruto Series Part 1 and Part 2 ?
During Chūnin Exam:
During first Naruto Chūnin Exam, Asuma was the one who push Chōji moved forward. Choji was strong and softhearted person. However, in a battle, he is a low esteem fighter. Asuma once offer Choji “all you can eat” and his assistance, if the competitions went dangerous. In the field, Asuma did not do anything to help Choji dealt with his exam.
During Konoha invasion:
During the invasion that killed third Hokage, Shikamaru was trapped to fight against stronger Oto-nin group. Oto-nin was too strong for Shikamaru, near death, Asuma came on the right time and finish group of Oto-nin alone
During a mission to find Tsunade:
After the death of the third Hokage, Tsunade was directed to be the 5th hokage. However, she was not in the village. It was Asuma mission to bring her back to the village. Before he can meet her, He met Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshikagi. It was a fight. Asuma managed to leave a scar on Kisame’s cheek but his Water Shark bullet technique had stopped Asuma to win the fight. Kakashi came on time to save Asuma, but Kakashi himself had huge problem when Itachi involved on the battle to beat Kakashi with his sharingan “Tsukuyomi release”. Near the end of the battle, Mighty guy cut the Itachi Sharigan effect and bring Itachi to the real world. Thanks to Might Guy, Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai who was involved in the battle, knows how to deal with Uchiha without dire effect of his Sharingan.
During a mission to bring Sasuke Back:
During the mission, Asuma did not involved in the mission directly but his Team 10 did. In the mission, Shikamaru lead a team to bring Sasuke home. It was unfortunate; the Sound four was too strong for them. Choji was one of the victims. Although he managed to kill the strongest sound four team: Jirōbō. He had to stay in a hospital for a while to recover his wound. This is where Asuma took his part. Asuma said Chōji was too much eating and too less training. Chōji wanted more training and Asuma said OK.
Another mission that Asuma took his part was during Mizuki strikes episode, Hidan and Kakuzu attack (which ended his life), Chikara arc, and fourth Shinobi world war (during the last Shinobi war, Asuma was resurrected from the death by Kabuto Yakushi and had to dealt with his former Team 10 students Ino-Shika-Chō
4. Who was killing Asuma ?
During a mission to capture or killed Hidan and Kakuzu after they entered Land of fire to capture some bijuu, Asuma lost his life. In the mission, Asuma teamed up with Kotetsu Hagane, Shikamaru Nara, and Izumo Kamizuki. No one on the team knows true power of the duo Akatsuki until the teams discovered that their first successful attack to take down Hidan failed. Hidan was immortal and he was able to strike back Asuma with voodoo-like ritual. Hidan was able injured Asuma by simply cut his own flesh. Hidan nearly finish off Asuma but thanks to Shikamaru. His quick thinking has saved his teacher from the supernatural strike and decapitated Hidan. Hidan was headless but he was not losing the fight. Kakuzu stitched hidan’s head back on his body and continued the battle with him.
After Hidan got his body and head in one place, he continued his voodoo ritual and this time it worked. Hidan stabbed his own heart and consequently leave fatal blow in Asuma heart. With injured heart, with his last breath, Asuma managed to release his last attack, Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning technique before Hidan and Kakuzu left the battle area.
Asuma death but later Shikamaru came to trace down Hidan for the second time and revenged his teacher death.
