1. Who is Neji Hyūga ? Where's Neji Hyuga came from? In addition, what is his character?
HISTORY OF Neji : His real name is Neji Hyūga (日向ネジ, Hyūga Neji). He is a member of Hyūga clan from Konohagakure. He is one of Guy team along with Tenten and Rock Lee. He was born in July 3rd with a blood type O. His father is Hizashi Hyūga and he is an inspiration for her cousin Hinata Hyūga.
Neji Hyūga is the star of Hyūga Clan. His talent makes awards him a strong position in Hyūga's Main house. Neji believed that his fate is to protect and served main house until the end of his life but Naruto Uzumaki had changed his view.
Every shinobi in Hyūga clan carries Hyūga Main Family cursed seal on his head. For Neji, he had to wait Hinata reached 3 years before his uncle Hiashi branded his forehead with the seal using a secret Hyuga Juinjutsu. This seal is a contract to defend the main house honor until his last breath.
The cursed seal is functioned as a self-destruction system. When a Hyūga is death, the cursed seal will irritate Byakugan technique he has and make it non-retrievable
2.Why Neji’s sometime looked depressed?
Several times, the seal bring tragedy to the clan. When Kumogakure’s ninja kidnap Hinata (to steal her Byakugan technique), Hiashi(Neji’s uncle) saved her life but he killed the shinobi. Consequently, Kumogakre leader asked for a compensation for the death shinobi and he wanted Hiashi’s body.
Hizashi (Neji’s father), a twin brother of Hiashi, replaced Hiashi’s position willingly and took the blame.
Neji did not know the real story and he believed the clan had forced his father to sacrifice his life for his uncle. That tragedy made Neji hate the Main branch of the Hyuga’s house for 9 years silently. He thinks a destiny as a Hyūga more like a curse than a blessing.
3.Neji’s Character?
In the Naruto’s manga and weekly series, Neji is depicted as a serious but talented character. He always keeps his emotion under control but sometime he appears to be arrogant and heartless. When Neji was a kid, he was a different person. He was a normal. He smiled and laughed a lot and his heart was softer. Since Hinata’s kidnapping, something had changed Neji’s character 180 degrees
After his father died, Neji somewhat trapped in a wrong perception about fate. He thought, fate had been decided before someone was born and there is no way for him/her to change or escape from it or change it. To someone whom he thought weaker than him, he often treated him/her unjust. During Chūnin Exams, He told Hinata how not worthy she is as his opponent. He said Hinata is too kind/too unconfident/too weak as a Ninja and that’s is her fate she could not change forever
He repeated the nasty behavior during his fight against Naruto Uzumaki.
Neji beat him, kick him, stroked him down and mocked him several time but Naruto remained retried and kept his focus to win the game.
Naruto splat Neji on the face by saying someone who is weak will not always stays there. Weakness and failure is about mindset and fate has nothing to do with it. On the end of Chunin battle, Neji VS Naruto, Naruto eventually defeat Neji although he had to leave the area with extra bruises and cut on his face and body.
Before Naruto out of Neji’s sight, Naruto left another scar on his heart by saying “if a "failure" like himself could change his destiny, think of what a "genius" like Neji could do”
4. Neji’s changed ?
After his defeat in Chunin exams versus Naruto Uzumaki the “loser”, Neji changed. His perception about life had flipped and he became more confident with it after he uncovered the true story of his father’s death. Neji has stronger will to train his technique; more cooperative with his teammate, and he put more value on his partner safety over his own.
Neji Hyuga realized his lost against Naruto in the chunin exam was a blessing. During his fight in a mission to retrieve Sasuke back to the village, he had to fight a stronger opponent from sound village Kidōmaru. Kidōmaru is witty and genius. After several fail attempts to beat byakugan technique, Kidōmaru found blind spot of the skill.
Neji severely injured and he nearly inhaled his last breath. Fortunately, a flashback memory when Naruto defeated him had given him a new idea to flip his dire situations. After he recovered from near death experience fighting against Kidomaru, Neji abandoned concept of inescapable fate entirely.
5. What is Neji Special Abilities ?
Byakugan: A dōjutsu kekkei genkai Natural abilities that is descended to most Hyūga clan members. It grants Neji x-ray vision, near 360° vision, long-range vision, chakra vision, and other things. Byakugan has a tiny blind sport spotted at 3rd upper thoracic vertebrate – a soft spot that Neji did not aware off until his fight with Kidomaru. Standard Byakugan allows the user to scan 50 meters area in front of him. In Neji case, he was able to boost his byakugan range up to 800 meters.
Taijutsu: A close-range taijutsu combat skill. Neji’s taijutsu allows him to dodge and strike rapidly, fast, precise, and effective.
Gentle fist: A Special fighting technique from Hyuga clan. Gentle fist required the user to know how to Byakugan. Gentle fist is a technique to injure opponent-opening chakra pathway. Gentle Fist works like an invisible surgery needle. He can use the attack to injure internal organs of his enemy with a minimum energy directly to the heart. For Neji, since he owns a stronger Byakugan compare to other Hyuga member, he was able to corrupt soft spot lays under opponent chakra networks called tanketsu. When tanketsu is corrupted, the impact became doubled and more severe.
Gentle fist advance technique: With extensive training, Neji was able to release invisible defends or attack from his tanketsu nodes. In his fight with Kidomaru, Neji used the skill to scans incoming bullets without a direct eye contact. He was able to impede incoming arrows, released projectile chakras, and freed himself from chakra-based trapped.
Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven: a combination of taijutsu and gentle fist that allows Neji to repel any incoming attack or objects. During 4th Shinobi world war, Neji show he could produce a Eight Trigrams Revolving Heaven as big as his uncle.
Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms: A technique to produce rapid-swirls of impenetrable invisible barrier and released chakra strikes from Tanketsu notes at the same time. Neji’s uncle Hiashi taught Neji the skill. In Nieji’s case, he was able to double the strikes quantity
Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm: An offense technique that allows Neji to expel chakra force out of his palm. Eight trigrams vacuum palm can hit the enemy without touch it. 6. When did Hyuga Neji death ?
Ten tails revival mission end the career of Hyuga Neji during 4th Shinobi world war. Neji took his last breath on Naruto Shoulder after ten tails released a single fast-moving attack. Neji gave his life to protect Naruto and Hinata’s life. On his dying second, Neji finally understand a reason behind his father sacrifice. On the same time too, Neji thanks Naruto for calling him genius during Chunin exams.
As he enters white tunnel of the after life, Neji’s juinjutsu is automatically activated and it sealed off his Byakugan talent forever
