The Ghost and the Darkness | 4th Deadliest Man Eater Ever

 The Ghost and The Darkness are nicknamed given to two mane-less lion brothers dominating Tsavo River bank Kenya During the construction of Railway Bridge in 1898.


Beside hunger, These two terrors killed for sport and fun. Record said these beast had killed 140 people  but only ate 35 of them. The Ghost and the Darkness had a combo name Devil lions. These Devil lions had terrified all construction workers and forced the project manager to halt the project because no one wanted to join the party and found eaten by a lion later.

The project had been stopped but soon to be restarted after the railway project chief engineer, John Henry Patterson, decided to fight the lion back with his gun. Almost killed, he managed to shot dead the first one in December 1889 continued the other one two weeks later. IN present time, legendary Ghost and the Darkness or Tsavo man eaters dead pelts can be found in Field Museum of Chicago for anyone to see.
